2026-04-23
On the morning of April 22, a delegation led by the leadership of the Professional Manager Research Center visited Tangshan Yate Special-Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yate Heavy Industry”) to conduct an inspection and provide guidance. Huang Jiaguo, Chairman of Yate Heavy Industry, along with the company’s senior management team, extended a warm welcome, while General Manager Gu Zanyong provided a detailed briefing.
The delegation visited, in succession, the mixing and concrete-transmission truck manufacturing workshop and the recreational vehicle production workshop at Yate Heavy Industry, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s overall operations in areas such as production and manufacturing, process equipment, and product portfolio.
Subsequently, a symposium was held in the company’s conference room. Huang Jiaguo provided a detailed briefing on the strategic significance of Shengmao Group’s acquisition of Yate Heavy Industry, the acquisition process, and the resulting development achievements. Faced with the dual pressures of a shrinking industry market and intensifying competition, Yate Heavy Industry has formulated an overarching strategy centered on “digital transformation as the driving force, new-energy transition, and dual expansion into domestic and international markets,” while identifying three key development pathways: “going global under the Belt and Road Initiative, upgrading new-energy products, and leveraging transport capacity to boost sales.” Thanks to the concerted efforts of the management team and all employees, the company has achieved breakthroughs in expanding its presence in international markets and in the R&D of new-energy products, resulting in a significant improvement in operating performance in the first quarter of 2026.
Executive Director Liu Junjie delivered a special report on the company’s current operating performance and its strategic vision for future development. He stated that, leveraging more than four decades of industry expertise and a well-established market network, Yate Heavy Industry has managed to forge ahead in the face of domestic market pressures while achieving breakthroughs in international markets, with initial successes already evident in its transition to new energy. The company remains committed to the guiding principle of “stabilizing traditional operations, strengthening technological capabilities, and optimizing management,” and earnestly requests continued support from its parent organization in terms of resources, talent, and time to ensure the company’s high-quality development.
During the symposium and guidance session, leaders from the Professional Manager Research Center offered targeted recommendations on the future development of Yate Heavy Industry.
Li Lihong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director, put forward five recommendations: first, refine the company’s management system, strengthen talent development, and enhance the enterprise’s internal driving force; second, clarify the industry positioning and conduct benchmarking activities for products and brands; third, reinforce brand building and improve quality and value-creation capabilities; fourth, carry forward the enterprise’s glorious history and consolidate its various honors and qualifications; and fifth, strengthen the leadership of the Party and fully leverage the vital role of Party organizations.
Deputy Director Wang Xinwei highly commended the development achievements of Yate Heavy Industry. He noted that the company boasts a solid foundation and robust technological capabilities, has gradually emerged from its challenges, and is now on a positive growth trajectory. In response to the intensifying industry overcompetition, he proposed a pragmatic approach to breaking the impasse: ensuring product quality while reducing operating costs; leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative to expand into overseas markets; harnessing innovation to build distinctive competitive advantages; adhering to open cooperation to address developmental shortcomings; and concentrating resources on tackling major projects. At the same time, he emphasized the need for a strategic plan that balances short-term and long-term objectives, strengthens talent incentives and market-oriented human resource management mechanisms, and fully unleashes team vitality.
Ma Junjie, a director of Shengmao Group, stated that the group will continue to provide full support to Yate Heavy Industry as it accelerates its transformation and upgrading around the “Belt and Road Initiative, new-energy retrofitting, and smart logistics solutions,” thereby driving greater breakthroughs in areas such as commercial-vehicle exports, new-energy applications, and intelligent development.
Wang Yongli, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director, expressed full recognition of Yate Heavy Industry’s achievements in transformation and development, and put forward five important recommendations: First, uphold innovation-driven development and leverage continuous innovation to secure room for growth; second, adhere to law-based corporate governance, strengthen political awareness, and establish and improve a modern enterprise management system with Chinese characteristics; third, fortify both the management and technical teams, deepen collaboration between universities and enterprises to attract and cultivate high-caliber talent, and draw on the Center for Professional Manager Research to reinforce talent support; fourth, rigorously uphold the bottom lines of product quality, compliant operations, and workplace safety, thereby laying a solid foundation for the company’s long-term development; and fifth, further integrate Party building with business operations, strengthen education on integrity and clean governance, and foster a sound outlook on performance.
This inspection and guidance has provided strong support for Yate Heavy Industry in further clarifying its development strategy and overcoming key bottlenecks. Li Huihua, General Manager of Shengmao Group, stated: “Shengmao Group will, as always, support Yate Heavy Industry in staying true to its original commitment to manufacturing, strengthening innovation-driven development, deepening market expansion, and optimizing management efficiency, so as to deliver more solid results that meet the expectations of all stakeholders and strive to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of the specialized vehicle industry.”
Tan Lin, Jiao Jian, and Su Jing, heads of relevant departments at the Professional Managers Research Center; Guo Fang, General Manager of Zhongheng Company; and Shi Tianzhuo and Li Qi, heads of relevant departments at Shengmao Group, also attended the inspection and symposium.
